Small Copper

Three generations a year. One of the smallest but brightest butterflies at CwmRheidol. This image shows the green hue running down the body of freshly emerged butterflies. The small copper has three generations a year with the last ones being around till the end of the October. This is a male with more orange on the hindwings than the female.
