Butterflies - Mid Wales

A wetland fritillary. This vibrant butterfly emerges in late Spring where it can be in wetland and boggy areas.. It is a declining species with five of the six sites in the South East alarmingly disappearing in the last five years alone. Wales is one of the strongholds along with Cornwall and Scotland.
